March started with wonderful new singles by alt-J, Afghan Whigs, Coldplay, and a great comeback by Grandaddy. Then it went downhill. Black Sabbath has finally disbanded after farewell tour. An era has ended with Chuck Berry’s death. But there’s still hope. We got fantastic new albums by Laura Marling, Mount Eerie (yes, I’m still crying), and Depeche Mode. Finally, March was concluded with Kendrick Lamar’s astonishing new song Humble and another magnificent single by Slowdive.
